If you love spicy lemak dish, you can try this Salai Salai Restaurant. They offer varieties of spick lemak dish from egg, chicken and fish.
Clean (got A cleaness badge) & cosy environment. Fast service. Took itik/duck set RM14.50. Got tilapia, meat salai set also price rm14.50. Taste? Let the picture tell
Very authentic salai-salai cuisine. We love the menu served and the price wise are still acceptable for me. The duck is a bit stiff and not so tender for me, but the taste are still acceptable. I love the seating arrangement is very comfortable enough to enjoy the food. You can easily spotted this restaurant as it is located next to main road. You can park your car behind as there are a parking space with rate of RM3 and RM5.
Go for the daging. Itik was just ok. Udang, though sizeable , was expensive, super spicy and the petai were very few and tiny. Ulam was also expensive. Drinks were pricey too. Saving grace was the service with a smile. And of course its specialty which tasted authentic. Parking at the back, for RM5.
Smoked chicken and spicy coconut curry is delicious. Unfortunately no vegetables given for the price. Expected more for RM22. 9/10
for someone who live for spicy foods, I approve this masak lemak salai! the kuah was not overly spicy and the spiciness complement the creaminess from the coconut milk and smokiness from the meat. Prices are affordable too!
The kuah was thick and creamy and spicy. One portion should be enough for one person, and the ulam is generous. We took itik salai masak lemak and the meat was juicy and the smokiness came through. For KL standard, the place is excellent.
10mins walking distance from LRT Kampung Baru and 7mins from Monorel Medan Tuanku. Foods are very tasty, with a limited menu. Masak lemak is one of highlight here. Itik salai is my favourite, need to ask before they serve you 1 small bowl, which i been charged for Rm14.50 (not quietly reasonable). Just nice.
